Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel the Reader plan at any time: open your account, choose Manage plan, and cancel in the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals — you are not charged again. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, then reverts to the free tier. Your library remains available subject to the normal retention window.

Refunds — Reader subscription

Because the subscription is billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time, we do not generally provide partial refunds for the remainder of a period after cancellation. If a paid walkthrough fails to generate, we will re-run it or credit it. If you were charged in error or believe a charge is wrong, contact us and we will put it right.

Author Studio — one-time publishes

Publishing a Studio project is a one-time purchase for that specific paper. Drafting and editing are free, and you watch the complete (watermarked) video abstract before paying — what you buy is exactly what you previewed, delivered without the watermark, with a public share page and a video download. For that reason we do not offer change-of-mind refunds once the published version has been delivered. If the paid deliverables are defective — for example the share page or the video download fails to work — we will fix it or refund the purchase. Deleting a published project does not create a refund.

EU/EEA right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services that begin immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree that performance starts at once and to acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the service has been fully provided. Until you have used the Service in that period, you may still withdraw by contacting us.

For one-time purchases of digital content, such as publishing a Studio project, you are likewise asked at checkout to expressly consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once the published video abstract has been delivered. If you paid but delivery has not yet happened, you may still withdraw by contacting us.
